Hundreds of winged black insects suddenly emerged inside your home?  They may look a lot like ants, but please make sure! Termites propagate by producing winged “swarmers” at this time of year when temperature and moisture conditions are right.  The swarmers themselves are harmless, but they do indicate the presence of an established termite colony that will continue to do damage long after the swarmers have run their course.  Gather up several of the swarmers in a jar and bring them by our office for a positive ID.  Or call us to schedule a termite inspection.
